Wood Mounting & Indexing

Wood mounted stamps have been loved among paper crafters and mixed-media artists for years. Valued for their durability, usability, and their sturdy design, this makes them essential for most stamper’s collection.

When making wood mounted stamps, we first start by pressing your rubber. Afterwards we will professionally index your stamp’s image on the top of a wood block. This is done so that your stamp can be easily identified and often helps to align the stamp. Because the stamp will be handled so much, the index image must be waterproof and immune to wear and tear as much as possible. We use printer’s ink, which can be messy, but does the job well.
After indexing we will attach your rubber stamps to a double sided sticky foam.
Our sticky foam is 1/8” thick with a double-sided adhesive to attach your rubber stamp to a wood block.
We then use a scroll saw to precisely cut out each image. Once we have all the images cut out and your wood blocks indexed, we will start putting them together. We will package them in a resealable poly bag, ready to be used.
We have a variety of wood block sizes to choose from, and will choose a block size that best fits your stamp. For pricing on wood mounted stamps, please contact us.
